Writing: Halloween Story Writing this week will entail using all 6-Traits to develop a focused, organized, sequential, detailed filled non-fiction story about spiders. We will also use those facts to write fact and opinion statements about spiders. Math: Chapter 3 This week’s skills and strategies: * Numeration and Place Value * Using Coins to Buy Things * Review telling time and writing time with digital notation Social Studies: Exploring Earth This will be a continuation of identifying the differences between landforms and different bodies of water. The children will construct a landform mobile using a parts/attribute descriptor graphic organizer. Amanda and her brother Charley are collecting old/new movie DVDs and audio books to help update the libraries at both Children’s Memorial Hospital and the Rehab Institute of Chicago. Please take a look to see if you have DVDS that you would like to donate and send them to school.
