There are separate quota set aside for FASS students (bidding commences in Round 2B) and other NUS students (bidding commences in Round 2B). 4 How do I register for the Yale-NUS module (excluding the Spanish language modules)? Answer: (A) Application Please send in your application directly to Yale-NUS Registry (appeals@yale-nus.edu.sg) from 29 December 2015 (CORS Round 0) to 5 January 2016 (CORS Round 1B) by providing the following information: 1. Full name 2. Student ID number 3. Faculty and course of study 4. Unofficial transcript that lists the NUS modules completed to-date and corresponding grades 5. The College endeavours to inform you latest by 11 January 2016 (CORS Round 3A) so that you may proceed to appeal for other NUS modules in the event that your application for Yale-NUS module is unsuccessful. 5 Is there any difference in the Semester 2, AY2015-16 academic calendar between Yale-NUS and NUS? Answer: No, they are the same. Please refer to the Yale-NUS academic calendar at: http://www.yale-nus.edu.sg/curriculum/academic-calendar/. 6 Is there any difference in the Add/Drop policy or timeline between Yale-NUS modules and NUS modules? Answer: Yes, they are different. If you read a Yale-NUS module, please take note of the Add/Drop timelines. Answer: You will receive a letter grade for the Yale-NUS module, and this counts towards your CAP. 8 Which University Level requirements/Faculty requirements can these modules fulfil? Answer: • For FASS students, all Spanish modules fulfil the Unrestricted Electives (UE) requirement only. For all other modules, please refer to: http://blog.nus.edu.sg/corsannouncements/2015/12/16/ync-modules-for-fass-students-sem-2-ay2015-16/. • For NUS students from other Faculties/Schools, the Yale-NUS modules can be taken towards their Unrestricted Electives (UE) requirement in general. 9 Can I exercise Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory (S/U) option for Yale-NUS modules? Answer: Yes, in general NUS students read the module towards their Unrestricted Elective requirement and can exercise S/U option for Yale-NUS modules during the S/U declaration exercise, subject to the rules applicable to their cohort. However, if you are unsure, you are advised to check with your home Faculty’s Dean’s Office if you are eligible to declare S/U for the module.
