Broward College MH Campus/D2L Integration Instructions Spring 2013 1) 2) 3) 4) 1) 2) 3) 4) Quick Steps: Login to D2L, Select your course, and click MHCampus within the content section (if you do not see the MHCampus link within your course you will need to “expose it” via External Learning Tools instructions from your LMS administrator) View Orientation Video and Agree to Terms and click “Get Started” Search for your book by author or ISBN- does not have to be a McGrawHill Title. (If using a custom text search for the national edition) Select and if it is a McGraw-Hill Title you may customize it, view the online resources or use Connect. Connect Pairing Instructions: To explore Connect, click Connect, select the appropriate… “already a Connect User” Or “New to Connect?” (“Already a Connect User” is recommended so that it will search for an existing MH account) Select at the top of the screen “I want this for my students” and adopt. Pair with an existing Connect section or create a new one and find your text and follow the onscreen instructions to set up your new Connect Course. Once at least one student has accessed and submitted an assignment through D2L, Grade-Sync will be enabled. To push the grades to D2L just navigate to the reports tab in Connect and select the assignments you wish to sync. Detailed Instructions with Screen Shots Follow! To access additional help for MHCampus/Connect Directly inside D2L please open “Development and Delivery Tools” under the “Help” section of D2L and Choose McGraw-Hill Campus Login to your D2L Course and select the appropriate course section. Select MHCampus from your Content Section. Note: If you do not see this link you can enable a link via “Add External Learning Tools” Option in Content. Steps for Adding the MHCampus link to your course: 1) Click Content 2) Click Add Module and Title it what you’d like 3) Click Add Activities and Choose “External Learning Tools” Next, Choose “McGraw-Hill Campus” from the dropdown menu. You will then click on this new link you created to begin the pairing process. Watch the MH Campus introductory video. Check the Agree to Terms Box and Click Get Started. Search for your Book – if you are not using a McGraw-Hill Title MHCampus will recommend McGraw-Hill books and resources that you might find useful. Select your book from the pop-up window. Click View Online Resources, Customize a book, Pair with Connect or explore other MH books and resources. If you chose View Resources you will be given instant access to the instructor materials on the online learning center for the book including test bank, PowerPoints, and Instructors Manual! If you chose “customize” you will be taken to McGraw-Hill Create where you can start building your own custom book or ebook of just the materials you will need in your course! If you choose Connect, tell us if you are a new Connect User. TIP: Always say existing Connect user and have it look for your account via your school email address just in case your rep has already created an account/course for you. If you did not already have a Connect course it will create one for you. Just click “I want this for my students” and click “Adopt” Now it will ask you to pair your D2L Section with a Connect Section. Select either a New Section or an Existing Section. You have now paired with a Connect course. You may return to MHCampus or continue on to edit your Connect course. Select the assignments you wish to sync. Note: College Admin must have enabled grade-sync services and students must have submitted work and be grade sync ready. If you are pairing with SimNet from the MHCampus Screen you will enter your schools SimNet URL which is browardcollege.simnetonline.com. Please create a SimNet username or Login with your SimNet Credentials. Pair Your Section with the proper SimNet course or create a new course. You have now completed the pairing process! You may continue to SimNet or return to MHCampus/D2L. Please note the return to LMS button on the top center of the screen.
