Study Title: The effects of private speech on reading comprehension in emergent readers

IRB #: STU95658 – PI: Dr. William Horton

 

Northwestern University Psychology Department’s Cognition and

Communication Lab is looking for 4 to 7-year-old participants to take part in a study of early reading acquisition.

 

 

Participants would be asked to read three short stories, answer 5-10 comprehension questions per story, and complete three 2-minute drawing tasks. Participants must have some independent reading skills.

Participation would involve one audio and video recorded session of about 30 minutes long taking place in the Cognition and Communication

Lab (108 Harris Hall).

 

In appreciation for your time, you will receive $20.
