24 DlX was put onto trailer and parked at sand pit, batteries pulled, winterized and
cleaned out. Not covered yet.
The crew started the week with a line swim of the western side of Little Square bay finding ½ of a bag
mostly in the shallows mixed in with the lily pads. Some large plants were found in the transect area.
They finished swimming Little Square Bay finding another ½ of a bag of small plants. A swim through the
“tongue” area only produced 18 plants wrapped up in the bass weed. The crew moved to the divot in
Saginaw bay with the small island finding 65 various sized plants. A line swim of Pork bay produced 54
plants mainly on the northern side of the bay. The plants were tall single and single stemmed. They
moved to the small island next to the Young Life gas dock where 50 plants of various sizes were
harvested. The crew then swam the area behind Birch and Spruce Islands finding 45 various sized
plants, mostly on the northern side of the channel buoys. They moved to the bay by the Wenonah
where only 8 plants were found. The crew finished the season in the bay north east of Buck Island
finding a patch of 93 small new growth plants. Most plants were in the shallows on the east edge of the
bay.
