IVY TECH COMMUNITY COLLEGE OF INDIANA (October 2001 – Present) Ivy Tech Community College is the nation's largest state‐wide community college with single accreditation. It is Indiana’s largest public post‐secondary institution serving nearly 200,000 students a year. Director of Web, Social Media, & Student Communications in the Office of the President Key Responsibilities: 









Manages all aspects of Ivy Tech’s online presence, including websites, social media, email marketing, advertising, and branding. Oversees daily operations for the College’s public website (www.ivytech.edu) which receives 40 million hits per year. Administers the CMS, student portal, and employee portal. Oversees all projects and technical implementations for the website and student portal (currently overseeing projects for a mobile app and a new CMS). Develops traditional and digital marketing strategies to recruit new students, retain current students, and raise awareness about the College. Writes communication plans and content for various targeted audiences using multiple distribution channels. Works with each department to ensure website content is current and easy to understand. Manages 2 direct and 14 indirect reports. Reports to the VP of Communications, Marketing, and Enrollment Management. Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, Unix, Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, Adobe CS6, Microsoft Office, and Hootsuite. Key Achievements: 





Increased both leads and enrollment by redesigning www.ivytech.edu to the prospective student audience. Insight for the website redesign came from focus groups and Google Analytics data. Developed the most recent campaign called “Now Is the Time” which included a website, social media, online ads, direct mail, billboards, and TV spots. The campaign yielded over 10,000 hits per day to the website. Developed and implemented a social media strategy which increased the number of Ivy Tech’s Facebook fans from 3,000 to over 85,000, positioning Ivy Tech as the largest community college Facebook page. Worked with leadership to design the Ivy Tech Online Ohio program, including the administrative process, website design, copy writing, SEO, PPC, and graphic design for www.ivytech.edu/ohio. The website had an 18% conversion rate for Fall 2013. Led the 2013 United Way campaign in which digital elements were incorporated for the first time. After falling short of the goal last year, we exceeded the goal this year by 5%. Led the project team to implement the student portal which is widely regarded as the most successful technical project ever undertaken at Ivy Tech. SGI, INC. (June 1997 – October 2001) SGI is a comprehensive, one‐stop provider of sales collateral fulfillment, marketing communications and information management.
