Lectures:
Three less known poison dartfrogs from Panama. Karl-Heinz Jungfer, lectures in English.
Most people know about the different color morphs of Oophaga pumilio from Panama in
Central America. Karl-Heinz Jungfer will introduce us to the less known species: O. arborea,
O. speciosa och O. vicentei from some of the limited territories in the western and central
Panama and he will tell about observations in nature and about their behaviors in captive.
Amphibians from upper Amazon in Peru. Karl-Heinz Jungfer, lectures in English.
The upper Amazon has the most the densest frog populated area in the world by locally more
than 100 species in just a few km ².
Karl-Heinz Jungfer will show how us many different species from his travels within this area
along Amazonas in Peru, from Rio Marañon (one of the source rivers to the Amazon river)
towards the borders with Colombia and Brazil.
Many of Karl-Heinz Jungfers expeditions are done during night, so we will be shown
amphibians that you normally never see.
Karl-Heinz Jungfer is known as the author of several books on amphibians, including Poison
Frogs, which are the frog bible for the poison frogs fanatics. He has also written many
scientific descriptions of new amphibians and actively participates in international efforts to
identify amphibians.

has kept and bred this salamander for several years and will share his experiences.

Simon Bomholt keeps and breeds several color morphs of this species and will tell you how to
successfully manage to breed this beautiful poison dartfrog.
