Praise to the Lord, who o'er all things so wondrously reigneth, Shelters thee under his wings, yea, so gently sustaineth: Hast thou not seen? All that is needful hath been Granted in what he ordaineth. 3. Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy work and defend thee; Surely his goodness and mercy here daily attend thee. Ponder anew What the Almighty can do, If with his love he befriend thee! 4. Praise to the Lord, 0 let all that is in me adore him; All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before him! Let the Amen Sound from his people again; Gladly for aye we adore him. Amen. THE INVOCATION: In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Response: Amen. THE CONFESSION OF SINS: Beloved in the Lord! Let us draw near with a true heart, and confess our sins unto God our Father, beseeching him, in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to grant us forgiveness. (The congregation kneels). Our help is in the Name of the Lord. Response: Who made heaven and earth. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord. Response: And thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Almighty God, our Maker and Redeemer, we poor sinners confess unto Thee, that we are by nature sinful and unclean, and that we have sinned against thee by thought, word and deed. Wherefore we flee for refuge to thine infinite mercy, seeking and imploring thy grace, for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ. Response: 0 most merciful God, who has given thine only-begotten Son to die for us, have mercy upon us, and for his sake grant us remission of all our sins: and by thy Holy Spirit increase in us true knowledge of thee and of thy will and true obedience to thy Word, that by thy grace we may come to everlasting life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. THE DECLARATION OF GRACE: Almighty God, our heavenly Father, hath had mercy upon us, and hath given his only Son to die for us, and for his sake forgiveth us all our sins. To them that believe on his Name, he giveth power to become the sons of God, and bestoweth upon them his Holy Spirit. He that believeth, and is baptized, shall be saved. Grant this, 0 Lord, unto us all. Response: Amen. DEGREES IN COURSE Waterloo Lutheran Seminary Bachelor of Divinity Leander John Ecola, B.A. Roland Jigi Payne, B.A., B.S.
