Upon completion of the subject, students shall be able to:
a. apply various theories and frameworks to analyze information systems
management problems for fashion retailers;
b. manage appropriate changes in the fashion retailers to deal with
information systems adoption;
c. identify the areas of applications of the fashion retail enterprise
systems;
d. propose solutions to fashion retailing problems by using fashion retail
information systems;
e. present and discuss in English effectively and clearly; and
f. co-operate and contribute as a team member/leader.

Indicative Syllabus
(I)
This subject aims at providing an in-depth exploration of the challenges,
techniques, and technologies associated with the fashion retailing information
systems in a competitive environment. The subject focuses on real case
analysis from a management information systems (MIS) perspective and
students are required to study, analyze, and explore the managerial issues for
fashion retail information systems with a critical mind.

dimesnions in fashion retail information systems.

Managing software and hardware assets. The importance of network.

Since the subject focuses on real case analysis from a management
information systems (MIS) perspective, students need to participate in class
discussions, both in lectures and tutorials. Students are also required to
examine contemporary issues in the areas of fashion retail information
systems, and have group discussions in tutorials. Guided readings will be
suggested for private study to complement the subject.

Explanation of the appropriateness of the assessment methods in assessing the
intended learning outcomes:
Short assignments (including home-works, class-works, and tutorial
exercises), both individual and group-based, and tests are used to assess the
first four learning outcomes related to the professional knowledge on fashion
retail information systems.
A comprehensive group project, which includes case analysis and
presentation, is employed to assess four learning outcomes, including the two
generic outcomes d, e and f.
