Project Manager – LED Lighting
POSITION OVERVIEW
Illumitex is seeking a motivated team player to manage our growing backlog of customer projects. The
project manager will work with Sales, Operations and Engineering to develop LED fixtures and lamps that
exceed our customer’s expectations. The Project Manager is responsible for managing all open customer
projects, from scope definition to customer satisfaction.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading, directing, planning, and coordinating the
activities of approved customer projects. The project manager will ensure goals, objectives, and timelines
are met. This includes leading cross functional project teams, managing customer expectations and acting
as the primary internal contact for all customer projects.
To be successful in this position, you must be customer-focused with outstanding verbal and written
communication skills. You must be comfortable operating in ambiguous situations, and have an influential
personality.
The ideal candidate will have successfully designed and/or marketed products in the lighting industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Excel as the primary interface between the Project Engineer and the Customer
Work with Sales team to document customer goals
Work with Optics and Engineering teams to recommend LED product design parameters
Build the appropriate photometry models in DIALux and/or AGI32
Prioritize product prototyping requirements with Operations and the model shop
Complete before/after photometric testing of customer’s light fixtures and lamps
Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction are achieved
Provide customer feedback to Product Management team
QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• BS in Business, Engineering or related field of study
• Lighting industry experience
• Proficiency in DIALux and/or AGI32 photometry software
• 2+ years of project management, customer service or sales experience
• Demonstrated success in managing the customer experience
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Intrinsically motivated with a strong drive to achieve business objectives
