UniSA College Pathways to degrees 2016 Benjamin Van Loggem Foundation Studies, Bachelor of Architectural Studies “I embarked on a holiday overseas, and during this time I had an opportunity to reflect on my goals and aspirations. I enjoyed my job as a landscaper as it had afforded me the opportunity to gain inspiration from some magnificent homes during various stages of the building process. On returning to Australia I made the decision to pursue my dream and study architecture. Without the skills taught at UniSA College I believe I would not have had the skills or confidence to complete my undergraduate degree.” Contents Welcome5 UniSA College6 Which pathway is best for you? 7 Diploma in Arts8 Diploma in Business10 Diploma in Science and Technology 12 Foundation Studies14 James Morrison Academy of Music @ UniSA16 Fees18 UniSA Connect19 3 Fifi Coombe Foundation Studies, Bachelor of Laboratory Medicine “Studying at UniSA College was daunting at first but I was surprised to see how the lecturers and tutors were very supportive. Eventually I overcame my fears and opened up to a new way of study. My approach to life has changed since I came to study at university. Every day when I wake up I realise that I have potential. The ultimate challenge is to explore my abilities to the fullest and see what I can offer to our world in the future.” Welcome If you look around at any university campus in Australia you’d soon see that not everyone who comes to uni comes directly from school. The reality is that only a little more than half of the students at the University of South Australia are ‘traditional’ school leavers. The rest come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, but they have one thing in common: the belief that further education will increase their opportunities in life. We’re very glad that you might be one of them. We opened UniSA College in 2011 for people who thought further education might be out of their reach. It isn’t, and through UniSA College we have been very successful in setting new university students off on intellectual adventures that change their lives. I hope that you become one of our many success stories and I wish you every success as you begin what I hope becomes a lifelong love of learning. If students choose to defer payment for the full amount of their student contribution, they will not be required to pay any course fees upfront. However, students may be required to pay student services and amenities fees. How do I apply for HECS-HELP? Applications for HECS-HELP are made as part of the enrolment process once a student is accepted into the program. How much will my program cost?
