Eastman Recy-Pack™ acetate
yarn pack system
Quality packaging and shipping
All customers want to have Eastman™ acetate yarn arrive in
pristine condition in packaging that respects and protects the
environment. Eastman’s state-of-the-art Recy-Pack™ acetate
yarn packing system ensures that both of these important
goals are achieved. Two computer-controlled robots pack our
yarn, reducing and even eliminating the possibility of handling
and shipping damage.
Recy-Pack™ cases
Blue
hold forty 7-kg (16-lb) packages
(8 per layer), while gray Recy-Pack cases hold sixty 3- to 5-kg
(8- to 12-lb) packages (12 per layer). Sturdy Recy-Pack yarn
pack trays provide ultimate yarn protection during shipping,
guaranteeing the yarn arrives at your mill in perfect condition.
The shippability of Recy-Pack cases compares favorably to
Eastman’s current cardboard cases shown in Table 2.
How does the
Eastman Recy-Pack™ system work?
Each plastic divider in the Eastman Recy-Pack™ acetate yarn
pack system has projections from both sides that hold the
yarn packages firmly in place. The packages cannot tilt or slide
sideways. Each tray has a built-in pallet base that is compatible
with standard industrial fork trucks and pallet jacks.
Eastman handles all logistics and freight costs for returning
Eastman Recy-Pack™ acetate yarn tray packs.

The use of Eastman Estron™ and Chromspun™ yarns packed
in the Eastman Recy-Pack™ acetate yarn pack system
helps the environment by diverting 12 kg (27 lb) per case
of cardboard packaging material from your local landfill.

Our commitment
After using the Eastman Estron™ or Chromspun™ yarn, you can
easily stack the plastic dividers on top of the base, tuck the
folded outer protective cardboard covers (which will also be
recycled) on top of the stack of plastic dividers, and cap the
stack with the top lid. When enough Eastman Recy-Pack™ trays
have been accumulated to fill a container, simply call your
Eastman customer service representative, who will arrange
shipment back to Opportunities Unlimited, Kingsport,
Tennessee, U.S.A. There is no cost to you.

Eastman Estron™
and Chromspun™ acetate yarns
Eastman Estron™ and Chromspun™ acetate yarns,
introduced more than 75 years ago, have a long history
of style, fashion and color. Used in high-fashion apparel,
linings, home furnishings and industrial applications,
fabrics made from Estron and Chromspun yarns have a
rich look and feel.
Today, Eastman Chemical Company manufactures and
markets more than 300 different Eastman Estron™ acetate
yarns and Chromspun™ solution-dyed acetate yarns.
Fabrics made from acetate yarn have pleasing hand,
drape and luster. Estron and Chromspun yarns can be
used alone or blended with cotton, silk, wool, linen, nylon,
spandex, polyester, or rayon to create fabrics that are
fashionable as well as functional. Chromspun yarns,
available in more than 75 production and specialty colors,
have excellent color uniformity.
