The Poly Archives & Special Collections is part of the Bern Dibner Library of Science and Technology at
NYU-Poly in Brooklyn, NY. The Poly Archives collects the records of the university as well as special
collections relating to the history of science and the history of Brooklyn. The rare book collection is also
housed in the archives.
Library school interns will learn to process collections and to create finding aids using Archivists’
Toolkit. While the internship will focus primarily on archival processing, interns will have the
opportunity to work with the rare book collection or learn techniques like mold identification and
cleaning, if interested. Past interns have also helped to plan, research, and curate exhibits for the
library.
Available hours are Monday – Friday, 9:00 – 5:00. The number of hours per week is flexible and can be
tailored to meet the intern's needs.
