Makera Cattle Company, a small and growing agribusiness based in Zimbabwe. They will discuss the challenges of business development with a BoP lens, the role of NGOs in market facilitation, as well as financing for SGBs.

Partnerships between large corporations and small and growing businesses can add value to both sides -- but can be difficult to make work. This discussion will dive in to reasons that these partnerships can be challenging, and strategies that intermediaries use to facilitate effective relationships between corporates and SGBs.

Women’s Entrepreneurship

Moderator: Giulia Corinaldi, Cherie Blair Foundation for Women

This session will bring together the Women’s Entrepreneurship Working Group for its first in-person meeting of

2015. During this session, we will look at the work of ANDE members WEConnect International and the Cherie

Blair Foundation for Women. We will also use this time to plan how to best use the many case studies on access to finance for women entrepreneurs that the working group received in early March.

Capital Aggregation: Trends in SGB Finance

The Capital Aggregation Working Group has historically been a group where members can share ideas and collaborate around the spectrum of available and needed appropriate capital for SBG financing. Our fearless leaders are ready to pass the torch to the next visionaries and this session will be used to co-create the framework for the group moving forward. We are looking to create an action-oriented framework to guide the working group for the coming year.
