Class Grading Procedures
• 60% Exams
– Four exams covering three chapters each
– Sample questions available on the instructor web site
– No cumulative mid-term or final exam
• 20% Online Homework
– Accessed at http://highered.mcgrawhill.com/sites/0073524166/student_view0/index.html
– Multiple-choice and true-false questions for each chapter
– Quiz results must be emailed to the instructor
• 20% In-class Vocabulary Quizzes
– 24 in-class quizzes that will test your knowledge of key terms
– Vocabulary terms are available on the instructor’s web site (you
are to look up the definitions in your textbook).
– Quizzes will consist of matching terms with definitions. The best
21 out of 24 scores will be counted (i.e., the three lowest quiz
scores will be dropped).
• Participation (total of 24 classes)
– Attendance is verified every class using a sign-in sheet.
– Poor attendance may result in being dropped from the course.
– Arriving late or leaving early will result in a 10% deduction on inclass exams.
