What does AFRDI mean?
Indicates a chair has been AFRDI tested and accredited. The 'Australasian Furniture Research & Development Institute' (AFRDI)
provides accreditation testing of products against the Australian & New Zealand standard under the Blue Tick programme.
Tests of office chairs are based on the Australasian standards AS/NZ4438: 1997 for height-adjustable swivel chairs.
Level 4 denotes General Commercial or Heavy Domestic.
Level 5 denotes Heavy Commercial.
Level 6 denotes Severe Commercial.
AFRDI 142 is rated for people up to and including 160kg.

Can I choose a different fabric colour for my chair?
Selected ranges can be customised with the fabric of your choice. If you can't find the fabric you require please speak to one of our furniture specialists
and they can work with you to find the fabric that meets your requirements. See pages 8-10 for further details.
What is meant by full grain, top-grain, split leather, bonded or PU leather?
Full grain leather refers to hides that have not been sanded, buffed or snuffed to remove imperfections.
Top-grain leather has had the 'split' separated away making it thinner and more pliable than full-grain.
Split leather is created from the fibrous part of the hide. Split leather then has an artificial layer applied to the surface and is embossed with a leather
grain (bycast leather).
Bonded leather uses leftovers which are shredded and then bonded together with polyurethane binders or latex on top of a fibre sheet.
PU leather is a split leather with a layer of polyurethane laminated to the surface and then embossed.
