I was highly impressed with Ville's teaching skills, especially considering that he is still a PhD candidate and has limited teaching experience. His enthusiasm for
Suggestion the subject is infectious, and he has a talent for cultivating interest in what could be a very dry topic. He was always attentive to student questions and spent the
necessary time to make sure that we understood the concepts.
Professor Satopaa is an excellent teacher. His lectures are extremely clear and engaging and the entire structure of his teaching was very organized and easy to
follow. He is always available outside of the classroom and dedicates a great deal of time to office hours, encouraging students to come and committing to answer
questions and clarify obscurities. Apart from his great manner of teaching, Professor Satopaa creates a positive atmosphere in the classroom and is very
approachable and helpful. His quizzes/exams and grading style are very fair. One of the best professors I have had at Penn.
The professor was one of the best grad student teachers I have had. His office hours were so helpful and he really went out of the way to make sure he explained
the material from many perspectives so that it was clear for everyone. He made sure to stress the theory and "common sense" reasoning behind the problems and
formulas we learned. Great all around. I really appreciate the amount of effort he put into making the course as great as possible.
The instructor was amazing. He helped me maintain a continued interest in the class

Ville is an excellent teacher, and he really stimulated my interest in statistics. He was highly accessible outside of class, and made a great effort to ensure that we
all had what we needed to do well in the class.
this was a great course, i really enjoyed it.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this course. even though I did not have any previous knowledge about statistics. The instructor Ville Satopaa has truly demonstrated
the essence of being an organized, very helpful, approachable and very smart instructor. He truly cared about his students and that they did their best. His way of
teaching is organized and comprehensible. He also has good sense of humor to break the ice in the class. I highly recommend taking a course with Ville. One of
my best classroom experiences.
The subject is somewhat interesting when applied to real world applications but is very difficult in terms of the probability theory.
The best teacher I've had at Penn. He held a lot of review sessions to make sure his students understood the topics.
