The basic and intermediate concepts associated with network operating systems will be discussed and explored. Technologies specific to local area networking will be utilized and implemented with a network operating system. Course Objectives: Upon completion of this course, students should be able to: 1. Understand networking concepts related to services provided by Linux/Unix Network Operating Systems 2. Gain an understanding of networking technologies using Unix/Linux 3. Implement network communications using Unix/Linux 4. Install 5. Redirect output 6. Configure basic network settings 7. Demonstrate start-up and shut-down 8.
