OUR SOLUTION
Printed Lighting Technology - an advanced method of large-scale printing.
The large area printing process deposits electrically or optically functional
inks on rolls of lightweight, thin and flexible substrates such as plastic or
metal foil. The end result is a versatile printed light-emitting film, which is
flexible with sustainable benefits. It reduces light pollution, emits negligible
heat and can be reused.
DIFFERENTIATING FEATURES
• Versatile: The printed light-emitting film is ultra-thin (<1mm) and
lightweight. It can be used outdoors and can be fitted with high
resolution graphic overlay. The light intensity is adjustable as well. Hence,
the printed film can potentially be used and reused for any setting.
• Flexible: The film is ultra-thin, lightweight and is able to form to any
surface. Its rollable form factor allows a large width of 0.9m.
• Sustainable: The printed film is reusable and uses less electricity as
compared to LED screens. The film does not have a hotspot, hence it
emits negligible heat. As it is manufactured using an additive
manufacturing process, waste is minimised.
• Ease of use: As a heat sink is not needed, the film requires minimal
installation space. The process of installation and maintenance is simple.
• Economical: Lower capital investment is required. As it consumes
less energy, the electrical costs of running it is much lower as well.
APPLICATIONS
The printed lighting technology has the potential of multiple uses:
advertising panels, architectural features, signages, facade decorations,
furnishings and even in packaging. Applications include art installations at
the South Beach Club, directional displays at iLight Marina and advertising
panels on double-decker buses.
