SOFT TOOLING LAB (ET 122)
This lab has various machine shop equipment including bandsaws, table saw, drill presses, disk
sander, Bridgeport mill, and hand tools. It is fully equipped for building soft tooling as well as most
injection mold work. Adjacent to this lab and accessible for student work is a fully equipped wood
working facility with a 3-axis CNC router.

COMPUTING (ET 262, 308)
Three Windows-based computer labs are in the Engineering Technology Building. The CAE Lab (ET 262) with
24 computers used for CAM (SmartCAM, CATIA Machining, and Vericut), FEA (CATIA), and injection
molding simulation (Moldflow). The CAE lab also houses a Haas Control Simulator. The CAD Lab (ET 308)
has CATIA and Pro/Engineer and has 48 computers with word processing, spreadsheets, MathCAD, Windows,
and Visual Basic.
Some of the labs also have computers for data acquisition and computations. The labs and offices are
connected to the main campus network.
ELECTRONICS
ET331 - ET331 is used primarily for freshman and sophomore EE courses along with the electronics courses for
non-EE majors, ETEC351 and ETEC352. There are 12 workstations for a lab capacity of 24 students. Each
workstation includes the equipment listed below. The computers have the standard EE image installed, which
includes all the software listed at the end of this document. EE students have 24 hour access. Engineering students
enrolled in ETEC351 or ETEC352 have access weekdays from 8 – 5pm.
ET 331, 12 Workstations. Each consisting of:
• Agilent DSO-X 3012A Digital Storage Scope with built in Function Generator

• NI Elvis II Data Acquisition System and Breadboard

ET328 - ET328 is the power systems laboratory. It is used for the EE power course, ETEC376. It contains four
LabVolt workstations for a capacity of 12 students. Each workstation has several modules including motors,
generators, loads, dynamometers, and meters. EE student access is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

12 workstations with overflow capacity available in adjacent ET338. Each workstation includes the equipment
listed below. The computers have the standard EE image installed, which includes all the software listed at the
end of this document. ET340 also has a lounge/group study space. EE students have 24 hour access.
