Accessing MathXL to do homework: Most students prefer to access MathXL on their own personal laptop and/or desktop computers. If you want to do this, go to www.mathxl.com and follow the directions to disable popup blockers before attempting the homework exercises. This will be done only once—after the initial installation, you will access MathXL by entering your username and password on www.mathxl.com. Math XL is available in all campus computer labs on either a MAC or PC. You can use either Internet Explorer or Firefox as your browser. 1) The Student Computer Lab inside the SSS Offices (220 Canfield) is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday (closed on weekends and school holidays). Note: You must qualify for this program to use these computers! 2) The Math Dept. Computer Lab in Avery 18. Hours of operation are listed on the math website: www.math.unl.edu. Generally, the lab is open Monday through Friday and again on Sunday—it is closed on Saturdays and UNL holidays. 3) The Math Resource Center (MRC) located in Avery 13B; hours of operation are also listed on the math website. In general, it is open from 12:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Fridays. The MRC is closed on Saturdays but open on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. 4) Athletes may use the Hewitt Center Computer Lab open from 7 a.m. to midnight on Monday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday.
