• You can use your financial aid awards for 2011-2012 during the early

Most students are now able to register via eConnect.
New students and students on probation must register prior to the
first class meeting.

• The Fall Schedule is online at www.cedarvalleycollege.edu.
• Visit the eConnect home page at http://econnect.dcccd.edu/.
• Go to “Current Credit Student Menu,” log in with

your Student ID# and go to “Plan My Schedule.”

• If you have not filled out a financial aid application for

Fall 2011, fill out the Free Application for
Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Obtain an electronic signature at www.pin.ed.gov to make
the financial aid application easier (you will need one for
student and one for parent)
If you have accepted your award for 2011-2012, register early
for Fall Term and check your award status online through
eConnect or contact the Financial Aid office.
Transfer students must have transcripts evaluated. Please submit all
official college transcripts to the Office of Admissions.

Make sure your residency documentation is updated.

for using the “Plan My Schedule” feature of eConnect online.
Discuss degree options and your program of study.
If you are a new or transfer student with less than 12 credit hours
completed, you must enroll in EDUC 1300, Learning Framework.
Make plans for transfer to a university.

• Click on the “Current Students” menu and select NetMail.
• Make sure your e-mail is correct.
• Obtain/update your student ID with a Fall 2011 sticker in D101.

Make sure your Tuition Installment Plan is paid in full.
See if you owe a balance.
You can pay for your Fall Tuition through installments:
Students may elect to pay tuition on an installment plan.
The installment plan requires:
- 50% of tuition must be paid by September 2
- 25% of tuition must be paid prior to sixth class week
(September 29)
- 25% of tuition must be paid prior to eleventh class week (November 3)
A non-refundable administrative charge of $15 will be assessed to
establish the installment plan. This option is not available after
September 2, 2011. A payment plan must be established by
September 2, 2011, and a 50% down payment must be made.
**Failure to pay will result in you losing your classes and you will
have to re-enroll. A payment plan is available through the cashier’s
office and online through eConnect. You will have to update your
payment plan for ANY changes to be made to your schedule.

Computer Literacy Requirements
As a DCCCD student, you are required to demonstrate certain computer skills to ensure that you can use technology as a learning tool! You can
meet the computer literacy requirement by passing a Computer Skills Placement Test in the Testing Center or taking appropriate Computer
Information Technology courses. To avoid unnecessary testing, please ask yourself the questions below so that you can assess the best course of
action for you.

Open (and close) a Web browsing application
Change the Web browser Home Page/Start Page
Refresh a Web page
Display, hide images on a Web page
Bookmark a Web page
Activate a hyperlink/image link
Select a specific search engine
Email
Open one, several mail messages
Flag a mail message. Remove a flag mark from a mail message
Mark a message as read, unread
Create a new message
Copy (Cc), blind copy (Bcc) a message to another address/addresses
Use a spell-checking tool to make changes
Attach a file to a message
Send a message using a distribution list
Sort messages by name or date
Choose print out options such as:
