I've found very few of my family. So my scrapbook will probably be heavy on documents. A: Yes she has some wonderful heirlooms. Audience Question: Q: WE have my Grandmother's photo album from c. 1918-1919 when she was single and a gov't worker in Wash, DC during WW1. Photos of soldiers, parades. Gen Pershing even. A: Great! Audience Question: Q: sure wish my ancestors did this, no one talked about there past and to this day they dont talk A: Makes me think about what I do to help my descendants remember me. Audience Question: Q: What a great family history of scrapbooking. A: Sure is! Audience Question: Q: I have been creating famikly history scrapbook pages as gifts for cousins on my mother's side for 13 years. Each year they get 3-6 sets of pages and I have enough ideas for amny more. Because I create multiples, they are more simple than these examples, but are very similar in content. I have one in each family and now other cousins are interested so am looking at scanning to Cd now. Tyring to figure out how to deal with the interactive components for that project. So I guess I do have a scrapbook. A: See you just have to think about what you have! Maybe you have one tucked away! Audience Question: Q: I did my parents Navy photo book last summer. It was falling apart and I scanned and did a printed book. Learned a lot about my folks during the war. A: :) Audience Question: Q: I love the early creations as we learn. I have both die cutting machines and a manual machine but kiwi templates are so much easier, faster and take the "thinking" out of designing. A: Great! Audience Question: Q: Good ideas for tools I already have as well. She is right about the advantage of using paper embellishments that are pretty but not bulky. I use my flip-pal scanner to copy photos from family members that don't won't their photos leaving their home. I use to Legacy to generate a family tree in a pdf file and print it as a photo. Works great with the photo scrapbooking. A: Great! Audience Question: Q: The videos they have posted are wonderful! So worth watching to find out more about the system or for ideas. A: Great! Audience Question: Q: A must have for me is also their photo templates and the matting templates. I use those all the time. A: Thanks! Audience Question: Q: An idea when you don't want to cut into original photos After scan and print the original, put the original in an envelope on the page and the second printed photo goes on top of it. Use them as color prompts to decide papers, embelishments, etc. Decide what story you want to tell and play. A: Great design tip! Audience Question: Q: Geoff -About Version 5 of Legacy, I did an album out of my Legacy for my sister's 50th birthday and gave it to her on the day of my son's groom's party. It was passed around the family. Before long, my middle brother came up to me and asked: "Why did you do it in black and white? Why not color? I had to explain that in the days 1950-54 when most of the photos were taken, we only had black and white! A: Funny story!
