PROFILE
Susquehanna Health, comprised of The Williamsport
Hospital & Medical Center, Divine Providence Hospital
and Muncy Valley Hospital, serves patients within
an 11-county region of north central Pennsylvania.

treatment, physical rehabilitation, urological and

Susquehanna Health has a total of 275 licensed
acute beds, 22 bassinets and 138 long term care
beds in the Skilled Nursing Unit and performs
16,000 outpatient surgeries its Divine Providence
Hospital annually. The medical staff of 210 active
physicians in 50 specialties treats approximately
14,000 annual admissions.
Project 2012 includes the expansion of the longstanding relationship between Susquehanna Health
and Siemens. The new alliance provides a framework
for co-governance of the relationship throughout
the 10-year term. The integration of Siemens
products, solutions, services, and know-how offers
Susquehanna Health additional capabilities to
improve workflow and patient outcomes, reduce
healthcare costs, and enable clinicians to rapidly
provide personalized patient treatment. Siemens

Susquehanna Health’s intentions.

In 2006, Susquehanna Health launched Project 2012, an
initiative to redevelop its current campus locations with
new and updated facilities that will create the kind of
“regional destination center” for health services.
Plans call for major enhancements to all three
campuses of Susquehanna Health. Some of the
highlights include: an expanded and renovated
Cancer Center at Divine Providence Hospital, private
patient rooms at Muncy Valley Hospital and The
Williamsport Hospital & Medical Center, a new main
entrance at The Williamsport Hospital & Medical
Center and expansion of patient care areas such
as the Operating Rooms, Emergency Department,
Imaging, Lab and Heart and Vascular Services.
