Real Estate Principles*
To qualify for a Real Estate Broker license, you are required to complete eight courses and
pass the state Broker licensing exam. Required courses include Real Estate Practice, Legal
Aspects of Real Estate, Real Estate Appraisal, Real Estate Finance, and Real Estate Economics.
The remainder of the courses are electives approved by the Bureau of Real Estate.
Eligibility requirements for Broker license applicants in California:
• Applicants must be 18 years of age
or older and a legal resident of the
United States
• Applicants must show themselves
to be honest and truthful
• Applicants must have successfully
completed eight courses
