Ancient Greece Greece is located politically in Southern Europe, but today is a part of Western Europe. Greece is home to one of Europe’s oldest and advanced civilization. Athens experienced a Golden Age as well as war. SPARTA Sparta was another city-state in Greece and was one of the mightiest as well.
