CIVILIZATIONS POSTER PROJECT
Objectives
 Create an advertisement for your civilization in order to get people to come and visit.
 Demonstrate your knowledge of how humans have evolved from wondering the earth chasing
game with sharp sticks and pointed stones
 Present a civilizations with advanced cities, complex organizations, specialized work forces,
methods of keeping records, and technology.
In this project you will be creating an advertisement for one of the first ancient civilizations from human
history. Your group will be picking from Mesopotamia, Egypt, Indus, China.
Your posters must prove your region is a civilization by providing examples of all 5 Keys to Civilization
(advanced cities, advanced technologies, complex institutions, specialization of Labor, and Record
Keeping). The following is a list of things you will need to include in your projects:
An introduction to your Civilization which clearly
states the name of your civilization and a map of where
it is located, the major geological formations (Rivers, Mountains),
and at least three key destinations
