An irreverent satire on politics and family in middle America. Roaring Twenties socialite Mame Dennis teaches her orphaned nephew the nature of free living and free thinking, attempting to keep him from the clutches of the uptight world of his late father's estate executor and, later, his fiancée, in Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee's adaptation of the Patrick Dennis novel. Directed by Jason Folks Dramatic Comedy By Ken Kesey, Dale Wasserman Eight people are snowed in at a guest house: Mollie and Giles Ralston, the owners; four invited guests, each with eccentric characteristics; the unexpected guest, who turns up out of the blue after his car overturns in the snow storm; and finally a skiing detective. Once everyone has arrived it is not long before a murder takes place and the detective assembles all the guests together and interrogates them one by one. Each avoid the truth, some by silence and others by lies? Can the murderer be caught before more deaths happen? Sept. 2‐18 Auntie Mame Variety of Songs Directed by Rachael Lindley Comedy By Ed Howard, Joe Sears, Jaston Williams On Golden Pond is a classic American comedy/drama that's every bit as touching, warm, and witty today as when it debuted on Broadway in 1979. Retired couple Ethel and Norman Thayer spend every summer at their home on Golden Pond. This year, their adult daughter visits, bringing along her 13‐year‐old son. The turbulent relationship between father and daughter, the generation gap between young and old, and the difficulties facing a couple in the twilight years of a long marriage, all combine in a play that gives us unique insight into the modern American family. May 13‐29 The Mousetrap Description of Play Directed by Rachael Lindley Mar. 18‐Apr. 3 518 W. Arapaho Road, Suite 113 Richardson, TX 75080 972‐699‐1130 www.richardsontheatrecentre.net www.facebook.com/RichardsonTheatreCenter A mordant, wickedly subversive parable set in a mental ward, the play chronicles the head‐on collision between its hell‐raising, life‐affirming hero Randle Patrick McMurphy and the totalitarian rule of Nurse Ratched. McMurphy swaggers into the mental ward like a blast of fresh air and turns the place upside down, starting a gambling operation, smuggling in wine and women, and egging on the other patients to join him in open rebellion. But McMurphy's revolution against Nurse Ratched and everything she stands for quickly turns from sport to a fierce power struggle with shattering results.
