Graphic Designer Internship

Job Description:
Iowa Public Television is seeking an intern looking to expand their graphic design skills
and experience. This intern will gain experience with high level of graphics production in
an educational environment with communications professionals.
Requirements:




Two years of undergraduate study in Graphic Design, Journalism or related field
A full understanding and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
(Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and AfterEffects)
Experience and knowledge of design fundamentals and principles
Familiar with designing across multiple platforms; print, on-air and online
General Requirements:






Ability to work with a diverse group of people and be open to the ideas of others
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong appreciation for customer service
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work with a highly skilled team and independently
Ability to perform under tight deadlines
This is a paid internship position, offering a flexible schedule, working approximately
twenty hours per week.

Iowa Public Television is seeking an intern looking to expand their Web production skills
and experience. This intern will gain experience with high level Web production in an
educational environment.
Requirements:






Two years of undergraduate study in Computer Science, Journalism,
Broadcasting, Graphic Design, or related field
A full understanding and working knowledge of HTML
Previous experience developing Web pages for Internet or intranet sites
Experience building sites using common content management systems (e.g.
Drupal, Wordpress)
Experience with graphic design tools (such as Adobe Photoshop)
Experience creating and publishing video to the Web is a plus
General Requirements:




