Please could you send me responses to the following questions regarding provision of GP
direct access to diagnostics, under the Freedom of Information Act, for each of the CCGs you
serve:

What diagnostic clinics can GPs currently refer to directly, for cancer investigations?
GPs can currently refer patients via direct access to MRI, non-obstetric ultrasounds and x-ray.
2.
What diagnostic clinics will be available for GPs to refer patients to directly in 2015/16?
Direct access to MRI, non-obstetric ultrasounds and x-ray will be available in 2015/16.
3. What funding have you allocated for developing diagnostic clinics for GP direct access in
2015/16?
No funding is allocated to develop new diagnostic clinics in 2015/16.
4. What funding did you allocate for developing diagnostic clinics for GP direct access in
2014/15?
No funding was allocated to develop new diagnostic clinics in 2014/15.
5. What funding did you allocate for developing diagnostic clinics for GP direct access in
2013/14?
No funding was allocated to develop new diagnostic clinics in 2013/14.
6. What funding did you allocate for developing diagnostic clinics for GP direct access in
2012/13?
The CCGs came into existence on 1 April 2013, accordingly we cannot provide a response to this part
of your request.
