Recycling Managers Training Course - Phase 1
Pre-course work
Delegates are required to undertake preparation prior to attending the Recycling Phase 1
Course by completing several pre-course e-learning modules. These ensure that
delegates have a common understanding of the terminology regularly used throughout
the recycling sector. It is essential that all delegates complete this element. The
material delivered through the e-learning will not be repeated during the face-to-face
element but the knowledge acquired will be tested.
Work-based reports
Delegates are required to complete two post-course work-based reports:
1. develop an appropriate communication plan directed at members of the public; and
2. develop a detailed monitoring and evaluation plan for one recycling scheme operated
in the authority, that allows factors affecting performance to be identified and
improvement options proposed. A specification for the report is provided by WRAP
however the content may be adapted to fit more closely with your work
situation. This should be negotiated with WRAP and work should not begin until
approval has been received.
