He previously spent 10 years in Deloitte's Shanghai office, and was formerly the national leader for Deloitte's International Tax group. He recently relocated to Hong Kong to assume the tax managing partner role for Deloitte's Southern China Tax Practice. Prior to returning to China, Ryan worked with the International Tax group of Deloitte's Toronto office. Ryan provides tax and regulatory advice to multinational corporate clients that wish to invest in China, on matter such as structuring and acquisition issues, supply chain planning, crossborder transfer pricing strategies, corporate reorganizations, and tax / regulatory compliance matters. He is currently assisting a Japanese multinational corporation in a bilateral APA negotiation and competent authority case. Ryan assists clients in numerous industries, including the financial, manufacturing, consumer products, pharmaceutical, high-tech, real estate and telecom sectors, or both inbound and outbound investments in various countries. Alan Tsoi Tax Partner Deloitte China Alan has over 19 years in advising companies in tax structuring, tax planning, and mergers and acquisitions for multinational companies in the US and China. He began his tax consulting career in Michigan USA and relocated to China in 1994. Alan was invited by the PRC Ministry of Finance as a tax expert to participate in the PRC tax reform focus group. He is the contributing author of two books "Doing Business in China" and "PRC Tax Manual" and the author for the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation's "Mergers and Acquisition in China". His articles have been published and quoted by numerous professional journals such as International Tax Review, Tax Notes International, China Tax Review, The Economist and Asian Wall Street Journal. Caesar Wong Tax Partner Deloitte China Caesar has more than 17 years of experience in providing China and cross-border tax and business services, including living and working in Shanghai during 1994/95 and again from 2004 to May 2009. Caesar has served multinational corporations in a wide range of industries with investments in various cities across China. he has advised corporations on entrance strategies, crossborder investment structures, due diligence studies, business integration and restructuring, company formation and registration, profit solutions and tax ruling applications.
