AP Vocabulary
AP World History is a college level course using college textbooks. As a result,
there is an expectation that students will have a college level vocabulary. Since this
course is taught in high school it is expected that you develop a working knowledge of
these terms. These terms are frequently used in college textbooks and found in AP test
questions. Some of these terms are specific to the study of history and others are terms
that have a different connotation when applied to AP world history or the AP Exam.
Define and explain in context. There will be a vocabulary test the first month of school
