Job Opening Process Engineer Our Bio Polyganics is a globally acting medical technology company. With our unique synthetic polymer platform we develop innovative bioresorbable high-end medical devices that support the natural healing process and enable the functional recovery of the treated patient. The devices developed in house or in collaboration with industrial partners, are safe, effective, easy-to-use and regulatory approved for the indication(s) of use. Surgical applications include peripheral nerve repair, neurosurgery, and general surgery, as well as ear, nose & throat surgery. The opportunity The process engineer is responsible for improving existing processes and developing new processes and designing new process equipment or modifying existing equipment. Your key tasks are: Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production process. Setting up and scale-up processes including appropriate changes to equipment design and configuration. Collect, record, and transcribe data and show results in reports. Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers. Investigating and troubleshooting plant/process problems. Ensuring safe working conditions and compliance with health and safety legislation. Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards (ISO13485). Provide suggestions during incident investigations and advise on corrective actions. Your profile We are looking for a self-starter and a team player who will thrive in an entrepreneurial and technology driven business environment. You should have a degree in chemical/process engineering. A postgraduate qualification can be beneficial, even as relevant manufacturing or process industry work experience. The successful candidate is highly driven, able to identify opportunities and can convert the analysis into the right steps of action. You possess a Bachelor grade in a Chemical technology, chemistry, or applied-science related field (e.g. polymer- and/or organic chemistry, biochemistry). Experience with lean methods/ statistics is preferred. This full-time position demands a high level of interpersonal skills, personal integrity and excellent written communication skills in English. You will report directly to the Manager Product Development.
