Here are some lesson ideas for your foreign language classroom. An assignment menu is typically used
as a differentiation tool for gifted learners, typically used as an extension of regular classroom
assignments. If you have students who have compacted (tested out of/mastered the objectives of) a
lesson ahead of other students in your class, you can use the assignment menu as enrichment for your
gifted students. Of course, the underlined areas should be changed to match the current objective of
your lesson. Look at the products list on the school webpage under Talented and Gifted to find other
ideas for products. Use one of these websites for a rubric or use a DAP tool if you assign this to your
entire class. You can use the advanced DAP tool for gifted learners and the regular one for the other
learners in your class.
