Use the progressive tense to describe actions that are in progress.
Use the immediate future tense to described actions that will take place in the near
future.
Conjugate and use stem-changing verbs in the present tense.
Demonstrate basic knowledge of reflexive verbs.
Contrast usage of ser and estar.
Use gustar to describe likes and dislikes.
Apply the concept of number and gender to adjectives including descriptive,
possessive, and demonstrative forms.
Use short form possessive pronouns.
Use the concept of number and gender with definite and indefinite articles.
Understand and use subject pronouns.
Understand and use direct object pronouns.
Use maps to learn and identify the countries and capitals of the Spanish speaking world.

Demonstrate basic knowledge of the preterite, imperfect, future, and conditional
tenses in the appropriate time frames.
Conjugate and use stem-changing verbs in the preterite tense
Use informal commands (tú).
Use reflexive verbs with informal commands and progressive tense and infinitives.
Apply previous knowledge of ser and estar to more complex situations.
