We look forward to seeing you at the 2015 Georgia Poultry Conference. There are a couple of things different about this year’s
conference. After the general session, which will be focused on avian influenza, we have organized a couple of topic-oriented break
out sessions that we hope you will find of interest. After lunch we have scheduled a Poultry Management Certification Program. This
is new and is intended for people working in the poultry industry who do not have a background in poultry science. The lectures will
cover basics of poultry nutrition and fundamentals of avian respiratory physiology and respiratory viruses. Attendees will receive a
certificate after passing a short exam. Please consider sending your employees who would benefit from such a program.

The Conference
The educational program will be held at the Classic Center, 300 North Thomas Street, Athens
(706/208-0900); visit their website at www.ClassicCenter.com.
Registration for the conference includes the informal social, luncheon, and refreshments. Parking
for the conference is available for $6.00 for the whole day in the parking deck behind the Classic
Center.
Golf Tournament
A best ball golf tournament will be held at the University of Georgia Golf Course located at 2600
Riverbend Road, Athens, GA 30605 at 12:00; visit the golf course website at
www.golfcourse.uga.edu. Golf registration includes cart and refreshments.
Sporting Clays Tournament
There will be a Sporting Clays tournament hosted by Allied Industry Personnel to be held at the
Elbert County Gun Club, located at 1239 Ruckersville Rd, Elberton, GA (706/213-0098). Their
website is www.elbertcogunclub.com. The Tournament starts at 12:00; please be there by
11:30. The cost per shooter is $35.00; pay when you arrive. Bring your own gun and shells (125
rounds minimum). Registration is limited to the first 50 people. Please register at the link

Informal Social
The informal social is included in the conference registration and will start at
approximately 5:00 following the golf tournament. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments
will be served. It will be held at the University of Georgia Golf Course. Everyone is
invited to the social whether or not they participate in the tournaments.
