Medallion Signature Guarantee Requirements




Each person requiring their signature to be guaranteed must be a member
o There must be an ongoing relationship between the member and Magnify Credit Union in order to
perform a signature guarantee.
o Accounts must be in good standing.
2 forms of ID
o Magnify Credit Union account can count as one form of ID
o Valid (non‐expired) government issued ID
o Major Credit Card
o Passport
Proof of securities ownership (All owners must be present)
o Most recent statement to verify the balance amounts and account numbers related to the trade or
instruction letter.
o Actual stock certificate
o If stock is involved in the transaction, provide stock prices as of the day we are stamping your
documents. You can obtain this information from web sites such as: Bloomberg.com,
finance.yahoo.com, google.com/finance, AOL.com, etc.
Proof of Value
o Magnify Credit Union is limited to guarantee signatures for $100,000 or less per transaction

Verification of legal right to sign in a capacity other than yourself such as, Executor, Guardian, Administrator,
or Trustee will need supporting documents to verify your authorization. Please bring originals and fax them
to us ahead of your appointment for review. Documents may include:
o Original Death Certificates
o Letters of Testamentary
o Trust Documents
o Wills
o Affidavit of Domicile
o Corporate Resolution
o Power of Attorney

The Medallion Stamp CAN only be used on transactions that involve the sale, transfer redemption or
liquidation of securities. We want to provide you with this service and want to ensure your financial safety
and that of our credit union.
The Medallion Stamp CANNOT be used on transactions that do not involve the sale, transfer, redemption,
or liquidation of securities, such as:
o Savings Account Withdrawals
o Bank Account Close‐Outs
o Check Endorsements
o Auto Loan Applications
o Certificates of Deposit
o Amendments to Partnership or Trust Agreements
o Changes to Life Insurance or Pension Trust Beneficiaries
o Electronic Funds Transfer Enrollment Forms
o Treasury Direct Administrative Account Updates
o IRA’s that do not contain Securities
o Copies of Documents involved in a Security Transaction
o Guaranteeing or certifying maintenance or administrative changes, such as address, TIN
updates, account number changes & the like.

