In the fictional story Tuesday of the Other June by
Norma Fox Mazer, our June is stuck in a situation in which
a bully whom is also named June doesn’t seem to appreciate
someone having the same name.
The problems escalate to the
point where the other June makes up mean and hurtful names
and proceeds to bully our June both verbally and
physically.
As June encounters bullying, June decides to
“turn the other cheek” and eventually succeeds in
confronting and putting an end to her problems. However, I
feel that June did not handle bullying appropriately.
