Native American Diorama Project DUE: Monday, November 3, 2014 For the past few weeks in Social Studies, we have been studying various Native American Regions. In order for your child to show what they have learned, students will complete a diorama project on their choice of one of the Native American Regions we have studied. Students will also share their diorama with our class, explaining the most important features of their region. Choose one of the following locations: The Eastern Woodlands Indians The Northwest Coast Indians The Arctic Indians The Plains Indians The Desert Southwest Indians Instructions for diorama: Using a shoe box, the diorama should show examples of the chosen tribe’s lifestyle including: Type of home, food, clothing, environment (including natural resources, animals, crops, etc.) Instructions for the oral report: Students will present their diorama and explain the ways in which they represented their Native American Region’s home, food, clothing and environment. Students can use index cards to guide their presentation.
