6th 6 weeks Meteorology project Weather has made a huge impact on important historical events. In this project, we will research ideas about: “How weather has influenced historical events”. . Objective: Pre AP: Please choose 1 event in history. Collect information on how weather made an impact on that event. (See below for details) You can research about military or nonmilitary events GT option: Compare and contrast 2 events in history. Choose an event where weather played a positive role on the outcome and one event where weather played a negative role on the outcome of the event. You can research about military or nonmilitary events Each student must find the following information/ objects: 1. Research: a. In your own words, i. state what the historical event was, ii. include year, iii. place, iv. who was involved, v. Why is this significant in history? b. What was the weather event? c. What causes it and how does it impact people, land, animals? d. What causes this kind of weather event? e. Type all information and place them on 3 x 5 index cards i. ii. iii. iv. v. vi. vii. viii. ( you may also use paper cut to this size if you do not have index cards) Minimum 6 cards Please limit your response per card to 1-3 sentences. Keep it short. You may bullet where needed. Use color. NO COPYING DIRECTLY FROM THE INTERNET, USE YOUR OWN WORDS. 3-5 resources minimum All work cited must be places on the bottom of the index cards. 2. Find: a. 3 or more documented pictures about your event. i. Limit the picture size to 4x6 or smaller. ii. Documentation for all of your pictures is a must. ( URL on bottom of picture) b. It allows for information to be presented in both a 2D and 3D format.
