Personal narrative introductory paragraph development
1st Sentence should just talk about the fact that we all have different living experiences.
Ex: Throughout our lives different events and experiences affect who we are.
2nd and 3rd sentences explain how these experiences are both good and bad.
Ex: Some of the things we go through are quite wonderful and give us happy
memories. Other experiences we learn from, but never want to experience again if we can
help it.
4th sentence introduces the event that you are going to write about.
Ex: Being in a car accident really changed my life.
5th sentence will give the reader an idea of what changed or how you grew as a person.
Ex: Since that time I have made an effort to be more patient and caring.
