As part of our ongoing commitment to the community and our children, the Philadelphia Parks &
Recreation Indoor and Outdoor Soccer Leagues hereby announce:
THE CHRISTA LEWIS COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
Christa played her youth soccer in our league for the Vogt C.A. and continued her career for St.
Hubert High School. She was a dedicated and hardworking player who was loved by her coaches and
teammates. Unfortunately, Christa became a victim of teen violence. As a statement against this
problem in our society, the Philadelphia Parks & Recreation Outdoor and Indoor Soccer Leagues are
dedicating this scholarship in Christa’s memory.
This award will be presented at our annual Outdoor Soccer Awards Banquet in January. To
nominate someone for this award please fill out the form below. Deadline is December 31, 2015.

This scholarship is a one-time grant in the amount of $1500.00 given in Christa’s name to a
worthy girl who has played her youth soccer in the Philadelphia Parks & Recreation Soccer Leagues.
The scholarship will be an annual award given to a different player each year.
Requirements for Nomination:
1. must be a high school senior (female)
2. entering a college or other institution of higher learning in September 2016
3. a person of good character
4. has contributed to the game of soccer in ways other than playing,
Ex: refereeing, coaching, helping in their clubs or high school
