2014 OHTSL
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
The Ohio Travel Soccer League (OHTSL) is offering a scholarship program for the girl’s division (former
NOGSL youth players), and boy’s division (OASL or AASL youth players), who played with a community that is
currently a member of OHTSL. Please check the web site (OHTSL.com) for the complete list of eligible communities.
This year’s program will award (4) scholarships for each division, in the amount of $1,000.00 each, to former players
(members) who will be graduating from high school as a Senior in the class of 2014 and entering a U.S. college,
university or a 2 year or greater technical school, as a full time student, for the first time in 2014. This is a non-renewable
scholarship.
(NOTE: the program requirements are subject to change on an annual basis).

Student Eligibility: Graduating high school senior, entering a college, university or a technical school (2 or 4
year) the following fall. Student must have participated as a rostered player (member) at least three (3) full
seasonal years on a NOGSL, OASL or AASL registered youth team. Your community must be a current member
of OHTSL.

The Application process: In addition to meeting the qualifying requirements defined above, a detailed
application and a maximum 350 word essay must be completed and will contribute to the selection process.
Scholarship applicants will be judged on academics, soccer activity, and community service and leadership
positions.

Participation in High School or College soccer IS NOT A REQUIREMENT.

Due by April 5, 2014

Scholarship recipients will be required to supply their Social Security No. Recipients will be announced on the
OHTSL web site after May 3, 2014

Presentation of the scholarship will be at half time of the OHTSL All Star Game on May 17, 2014.
