Adele Dolansky Scholarship Guidelines and
Requirements
1. Budget
a. $10,000.00
b. 4 scholarships of $2,500.00 each
c. 2 Pure need based
1. Only BOD will see the IRS 1040 information for
verification and verify eligibility to committee
d. Two 2) scholarships on volunteerism, dedication to the
game and academics. If no player meets these
requirements it will revert to need based. If there are
no need basis applicants, it will revert to
volunteerism.
2.
Requirements
a.
U-17 or U-19 players who are graduating high school
seniors
b.
Committee may consider extenuating circumstances for
non-graduation players in the U-17 or U-19 age groups
c.
Minimum of four (4) seasons on an active roster in
WAGS and be active at the end of the time of
application. A High School Sit-Out is active.
Extenuating circumstances will be reviewed by the
Committee.

Uses
a.
Each player may be awarded only one scholarship
b.
Post High School tuition (player not required to play
soccer in post graduate work)
c.
Player who is not attending post high school education
can use the scholarship to continue her soccer career.
Ex: play in Europe. Both committee and the WAGS BOD
have the right to accept or reject the non-educational
use of funds.
4.
Application
a. Complete the application
b. Three (3) letters of recommendations. One must be
soccer related, one must be a character reference, and
one can be the player’s choice. All one page or less
c. Soccer history, one page or less
d. Personal history, one page or less
e. An essay by the player on the topic of “What Soccer has given me for Later
in Life”, one page or less.
