History Individual Learning Project Year 7 ILP: Julius Caesar Julius Caesar was one of the most famous people of the Roman Empire. It is your task to find out why he is so famous. This is your first INDEPENDENT piece of history work and you will be using a range of historical skills to complete this project. You need to spend 3 hours on this project! Use the information in section two, called ‘A Roman Murder’ Your mission is to find out why Caesar was murdered Complete the ‘investigation’ questions in the box (page 35) Give EXAMPLES from the opinions of the different people as evidence Task 3: A ransom note for Caesar Whilst in his 20s Caesar was captured by PIRATES and they demanded a ransom to be paid Read the final task sheet: Julius Caesar – Ransom Note You now need to create your own ransom note, be as imaginative as possible! You will also need to produce some proof that you have Caesar with you so that they cough up the money!
