MARRIAGE LICENSE PROCESSING INFORMATION SHEET
And the Two Became One will complete the marriage license application form and other required
documentation and also provide the Marriage Officiate with the relevant information. Note: The bridal
couple is required to be on island at least 24 hours prior to submitting the marriage license application.
You will be picked up at the resort and be accompanied to the government office to make the application.
There will also be a brief interview, lasting approximately 10 minutes. A current, government-issued
photo identification, along with your airline/boat travel ticket is required. Blood test is not required.
The United States Department of Homeland Security has announced that effective December 31, 2006,
all U.S. citizens and foreign nationals traveling to the United States from The Bahamas will be required to
present a valid passport or another secure, accepted document to enter or re-enter the United States.

IMPORTANT: If divorced, you will need your final divorce decree, certified by the Court Clerk. This
document will be kept on file here in The Bahamas. If widowed, certified copy of spouse's death
certificate is required.
The Marriage Officiate will be a non-denominational wedding ceremony, unless otherwise specified.
Personalization of your Wedding Vows and Readings are allowed. You will receive:
1) marriage certificate (provided by the Marriage Officiate) and
2) notarized copy of marriage license.
Thank you for taking the time to fill out this form. Due to the number of requests, we answer questions in
the order that they are received. Following this initial consultation, a wedding service agreement outlining
the scope of work would be provided and a 50% deposit would be required.
