health departments inspect food services and public places. They also investigate nuisances.

Sunrise Children's Services operates a network of residential programs across the state that
offers long-term, residential care and treatment to young people from ages 12-18. The goal of
the programs is to help young people transition from a home of abuse and neglect so they are
able to return to their homes, or into a more traditional foster care setting. The Dixon Center
is licensed to provide therapeutic care for abused girls, ages 12-18. The services include
treatment for anxiety, mood, personality and eating disorders, gang involvement, runaway
behavior, substance abuse, sexual abuse and other issues.

The BBB answers inquiries concerning companies and individuals in business, investigates
complaints when there may have been deception in advertising and selling, conducts
consumer information programs on basic business procedures, and issues warnings
concerning irregular advertising and business practices. However, BBB has no legal

The aim of this commission is to protect consumers against unnecessary risk of injury from
any products and give them a means by which they can safely evaluate products. It
answers questions and accepts complaints about the safety of toys and other products.

D. CRIME – Law Enforcement agencies are responsible for the enforcement of laws and arrest
of persons committing crimes. All crimes should be reported to a law enforcement agency.
When there is doubt about whom to contact, it is usually best to contact the city or county
