CREATIVE BOOK REPORT ( to be done at home) Choose one of the following: 1. Draw a series of pictures illustrating the story in the book. 3-5 pictures, 50-70 words explaining each picture. 2. Draw a map showing where the story takes place. Describe what happens in each place. 4-5 places. 50-70 words about each place: "Where is the place?", "What happened there?" 3. Design a new jacket (cover) for your book. a. Write a blurb for the back of the jacket. A Blurb is a description on the back of the book that will interest people to read the book. Make up quotes that past readers have said about the book. b. BLURB – 100 -120 words c. 4-5 QUOTES - each quote must have a minimum of four words , include name of the person who said the quote and the newspaper he/she is writing for 4. Design a T-shirt with a slogan in order to publicize your book. a. Draw on a shirt your slogan (minimum 4 words) b. Explain in 100-120 words why you chose this slogan, how you got the idea for the slogan and what the slogan means in relation to the story of the book. NO MATTER WHICH PROJECT YOU CHOOSE, MAKE SURE YOU INCLUDE THE NAME OF YOUR BOOK AND THE AUTHOR. MAKE SURE YOU WRITE YOUR NAME ON EVERYTHING THAT YOU HAND IN. INSTRUCTIONS 1. You should do this book yourself at home. 2. You will talk about the book report to the class for 2-3 minutes. You may NOT read the book report – learn what you want to say by heart. 3.
