Following the resounding success of We Will Rock You in 2011, Reepham High School and College
will be performing Return of the Forbidden Planet, the ‘juke box masterpiece’ written by Bob Carlton
and presented by arrangement with Josef Weinberger Ltd.
Inspired by the motion picture Forbidden Planet and a host of Shakespeare’s plays, the plot follows
the adventures of Captain Tempest and the crew of the SS Albatross on their journey into
hyperspace… and beyond! This winner of the 1990 Olivier Award for Best Musical bursts with red
hot rock and roll hits, including ‘Great Balls of Fire’, ‘Good Vibrations’, ‘Teenager in Love’, ‘The Young
Ones’ and ‘The Monster Mash’. So fasten your seat belts, set your ray guns to stun and get ready for
a cosmic adventure of meteoric proportions!
